kranto artilerija statusas T sritis Gynyba apibrėžtis Jūrų artilerija veikiantiems pakrančių vandenyse priešo laivams naikinti, saviems laivams ir SP remti. Kranto artilerija skiriama pagal kalibrą – didelio (>130 mm), vidutinio (100–130 mm) ir mažo (<100 mm) kalibro; pagal judrumą – stacionarioji (kazematinė, bokštinė ir atviroji) ir judrioji (savaeigė ir velkamoji). Kranto artilerija sujungta į baterijas, divizionus ir pulkus. Kranto artilerijos sudėtyje t. p. yra vadavietės, ugnies valdymo, taikinių aptikimo ir sekimo, šaudymo nuostatų rengimo priemonės. atitikmenys: angl. coastal artillery; seacoast artillery rus. береговая артиллерия
